Since qualifying I have spent most of my time providing treatment within the NHS. This has been challenging at times but also rewarding and enjoyable. Throughout these 20 years I have invested large amounts of my time in dental education to allow me to provide the best treatment. I have found over the last few years that there is an ever-widening gap between what is now available and what the NHS expects to be provided.
In light of this and after a lot of deliberation I have made the difficult decision to significantly reduce my commitment to the NHS.
While I will still see children NHS, I am afraid that from 1st April 2021 I will be unable to see you as an NHS patient. If you choose to stay with me and access care on a private basis, we have specially designed a dental plan within the practice to make seeing me as affordable as possible.
Practice Plan
A large part of my motivation for moving away from the NHS, along with the ability to have more clinical freedom, is to improve the experience for my patients. As such I will be significantly reducing the number of patients, I will be able to see. This will mean that waiting times to see me will reduce and will also allow me to spend more time with you in appointments. In light of this there will be a limit to the number of private patients I will be able to accept.
Our plans include all your routine dental appointments, a discount on treatment and you will also benefit from access to the Worldwide Dental Emergency Assistance Scheme.
All plans are administered by Practice plan and are available via monthly payment made by Direct Debit.
Future NHS Care
If you do not want to follow me, for whatever reason, I completely understand and thank you for your loyalty over the years.
We have a dentist at the practice to take on my NHS allocation so you will still be able to access NHS dental care. Please contact the practice to discuss this option.
